Welcome to Townsville Bushwalking Club

Townsville CityThe Club organises a bushwalk every fortnight except for December / January. Many of the walks are within an hours drive of Townsville. One-day walks are held on Sundays, and multi-day bushwalks are often conducted during the year.

Visitors and members who wish to participate in the next walk are required to attend the pre-walk meeting for a briefing on the walk, and approval by the walk leader to participate. Pre-walk meetings are held at the Blessed Mary Mackillop Parish meeting room (building behind the Church), 43 Ross River Road Mundingburra at 6pm. Refer to Calendar for dates. Visitors are most welcome to attend the pre-walk meeting where a committee member will be available to provide information about the Club and answer any queries.

The pre-walk planning meeting is on Monday 23rd May 2016 at the club meeting room. Interested participants are required to attend the pre-walk meeting. On Sunday 5th June 2016 there is an introductory bushwalk to Killymoon Creek in the Alligator Creek area. This is one of the club's shortest and easier bushwalks and is a good way to be introduced to club bushwalking. It involves some cross country hiking then rock hopping up a scenic ceek to a large pool and cascade. Email This email address is being protected from spambots.
